This Protects Plus Harness  is suitable for children from approx 4 years of age until at least 7 years of age when using a compatible Booster Seat (such asSafe N Sound  Hi-Liner  SG) or Convertible Booster Seat or use with the lap only seat belt on the vehicle seat to approx 10 years of age or to a weight to 36kg.

Note: It is recommended you monitor your child’s weight. The child may reach the maximum capacity of the harness prior to growing out of the restraints if its capacity is guided by height indicators (New Australian Standards Child Restraints)

Once a child has outgrown their booster seat or convertible booster seat, the Protecta Plus Harness can be used in conjunction with the normal adult vehicle seat until the child reaches the maximum weight of 36kg or until their shoulders are above the top of the vehicle seat back or head rest. If they out grow the harness from a weight or height prospective, they then need to use the vehicle seat belt.

The Protector Plus Harness must be used in conjunction with recommended booster seats and convertible booster seats relating to the new Australian Standards (referencing to height), however can also be used in conjunction with those seats complying with the old standards (referencing the weight).  If using the seat complying to the older standards the mass limits of the Booster seat or Convertible Booster Seat apply and over-ride the 36kg mass limit.

Please note: If you have the previous model harness, Protecta Harness, it can be used up to a weight of 32kgs and is not recommended to be used in conjunction with child restraints or boosters that do not have the height labels affixed indicating compliance with new Australian Standards.

The harness attaches to a rear anchorage point and is used in conjunction with the lap-sash seat belt.

A Child Safety Harness must be used if the booster seat is used with a lap only seat belt .
